The last three weeks
A busy few weeks, the highlights were:
The snowboarding trip was a grand success. Ben wrote about it here. I posted my photos on Facebook.
I watched 30,000 Jaffas roll down Baldwin Street, the steepest street in the world, as part of the Cadbury Chocolate Carnival. Baldwin Street also made it to the front page of Digg.com on Monday.
I started learning Java. I know a fair bit about computers but I’ve never bothered to learn to program, so this is an exciting development. I’m also learning to use a Mac. They’re wonderfully pretty things.
In management paper we learned the difference between theories and fads. Theories are old, outdated and traditional. Fads are new, innovative and yet to be ‘approved’ by researchers. Therefore we will only be learning management theories. I’d rather learn about how the Mozilla Foundation is managed.
The Dunedin International Film Festival is about to hit town. There’s a couple of films I’d really like to see. Also I’m going to see The Dark Knight, my expectations are so high they can’t be exceeded.
I’ve started watching The Office US. It’s hilarious.
